You really should not ever work on files not on the C, if you are asking about USB devices. Well, without more details as to your computer system setup, those are the two things I can think of. USB, first, might be a Windows 10 issue; the USB and Printer Drivers are one of the current failures for moving to W10. I would NEVER upgrade a functioning W7 or 8.1 to 10. Your 'documents' folder or file directory under W10 either is yours, or is under Public? That makes a difference. Was the program installed for All Users?
